Molecular, Cellular & Integrative Physiology

MCIPBanner.jpg
The goal of the Molecular, Cellular and Integrative Physiology (MCIP) Track is to discover how molecules, cells and organs function in the context of living organisms. By understanding how these interactions achieve normal biological function, researchers in the MCIP track seek to gain fundamental insight into the mechanisms of disease. The MCIP training program is comprised of a dynamic group of faculty and students with wide-ranging scientific interests, whose combined expertise promotes discovery in basic science and provides an environment that supports the translation of research discoveries into improved clinical treatment of disease. Our graduate students enter the program with diverse training and backgrounds, including chemistry, biology, physics and engineering, and share a common interest in basic biomedical research at the molecular, cellular or integrative level.
