October 2007 Events
6th Presidential Distinguished Lecture
Don't miss the opportunity to hear the fascinating story of Nobel Prize winner, Louis J. Ignarro, PhD. His research discovery in 1986 led to the invention of the world's first oral medication for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, a disorder that affects approximately 30 million males in the United States.
VIAGRA® was developed after Dr. Ignarro discovered that the human body uses nitric oxide, a colorless gas once regarded as nothing more than air pollution, to regulate blood vessels.
Dr. Ignarro's findings could further lead to the prevention of vascular complications caused by diabetes; the reduction of deaths from cardiovascular disease; and to new cancer treatments.
Wednesday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m. in the HSC Auditorium. A reception will follow in the Parman Auditorium Foyer.
Event sponsored by Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP
