Valero Donation Includes $1 Million for the Valero MD/PhD Excellence Fund
Mr. Bill Klesse, Chairman and CEO of the Valero Energy Corporation,
announced on August 29, 2007, that the corporation is donating $5
million to the UTHSCSA. Included in Valero’s generous gift is $1
million for the Valero MD/PhD Excellence Fund. The gift will support
the development and training of students in the MD/PhD dual degree
program with an emphasis on discovery and research based on students’
bedside experiences with patients.
